It sounds contradictory, but adoption is booming. Stablecoin usage is accelerating fast. US politicians are openly embracing crypto. TradFi is seriously exploring tokenization. Stock & commodity futures trading is exploding on offshore platforms and DeFi. The US is in the early stages of adopting futures markets. Prediction markets are becoming part of everyday life. But heres the twist. These are blockchain use cases, not crypto speculation. The exceptions are tokens tied to real businesses in these sectors, most of which have performed well recently. Some, like Hyperliquid, even distribute revenue to holders via buybacks. Thats what real investors want, a solid business, not just a story. Privacy is another category that isnt dead. The world needs non-custodial, private stores of value. Criminals need it too, as proven by the US DOJ seizing $15 billion in Bitcoin from pig butchering farms in Cambodia, filed on Oct 8, 2025. But everyone needs privacy. The asset attracting the most capital in this space? Zcash. Its recent price action is fascinating, trending up while Bitcoin dips, a sign of real reallocation from the Bitcoin community. Then theres AI. A category full of high-flying, story-driven tokens with no foundation.
